Did you know Mizzou Alumni Association members save 
MU Professor of Statistics Nancy Flournoy’s favorite pastime in high school was solving algebra problems. Now she's an international expert in adaptive design and has been known to smoke a few cigars on her way to shattering the glass ceiling. 
Each year since 2004, MU has asked incoming freshmen to read the selected ‘Mizzou Reads’ book before the fall semester. Once on campus, students participate in book discussions that introduce them to the pleasures and rigors of academic dialogue.
