Institute Poised to Unlock Cancer Secrets
Located near MU’s Research Reactor,
the new $10 million International Institute for Nano and Molecular
Medicine will house scientists fighting cancer and other diseases.
The reactor, which is celebrating 40 years of operation, helped
attract the institute because of its cancer drugs and supply of

for MU’s new student center and Brady Commons expansion.

In 2006, Mizzou music students won honors
in two of the most distinguished national competitions for student
composers. Most recently, senior Dave McDonald won the coveted
BMI award for his composition "Elegy." MacDonald created
the piece based on English Professor Rod Santos’ poem “Elegy

children ages 6 to 11 to trade in their video games for a basketball
and their computer for a jump rope. The pyramid, which is similar
