Mizzou is $1 billion better, thanks to you
MU Chancellor Brady Deaton announced Nov. 7 that the For All We Call Mizzou campaign exceeded its $1 billion goal. The first and only public university in Missouri to raise $1 billion, Mizzou is one of just 20 public universities in the nation to accomplish this goal. Above campaign chairs Cynthia Brinkley, BJ '91; William Thompson Jr., BS CiE '68; and Larry McMullen, BA '53, JD '59; celebrate with Deaton, center, closest to podium. Read more

A faculty member in the MU College of Arts and Science has been chosen to sculpt a 7-foot bronze statue of President Gerald Ford for the National Statuary Collection in Washington D.C. Read more

Tiny particles get big dedication
MU dedicated the new International Institute of Nano and Molecular Medicine recently. Researchers there hope their work will be key in helping treat some of the deadliest cancers. Read more

Pigs with a purpose
Researcher Randall Prather in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources produced the first pigs born with cystic fibrosis to provide a model to mimic the fatal human disease. Read more

The No. 15 Missouri soccer team claimed the Big 12 Tournament Championship on Nov. 9 with a 1-0 win over No. 10 Colorado at Blossom Soccer Complex in San Antonio, Texas. Read more
