Rendering of the new Journalism School complex

Foundation Awards $31 Million to J-School
The Donald W. Reynolds Foundation announced Feb. 9 that it is awarding the largest private donation in MU history to the Missouri School of Journalism. The gift will create a center for advanced studies in journalism and will focus on the profession’s role in democratic societies. Jesse Hall’s dome glowed with golden light after the announcement, symbolizing MU’s gratitude. Read more

Harold and Joanne HookeEducation Receives
$2 Million Gift
MU alumni Harold and Joanne Hook have donated $2 million to create MU’s first ever endowed dean’s chair and to establish a center for educational renewal at the College of Education. Read more

Swine, Genetic Expertise Attracts National Center
MU’s one-of-a-kind, 20,000-square-foot facility will function as an international repository and a distribution hub for swine genetic models used by biomedical researchers. At the same time, scientists at the center will conduct life-saving research. Read more
