Center for Psychosocial Trauma are stepping in to train local mental
health professionals and teachers to help children cope with the

A Lifetime of Giving
Ann Crowe Essig, BSN
’71, was a cancer survivor who
accomplished a long list of goals to help those living with
cancer and other diseases. She died tragically after being struck
by a car. In his wife’s
honor, LeRoy Essig recently endowed an undergraduate research
mentorship program at the MU School of Nursing.

As a team, the Tigers
earned a 2.91 grade point average, a record for men’s basketball.

Wrestler Follows Family Tradition
As a wrestler, freshman Marcus Hoehn
wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. In high school,
he earned his stripes by going to the Missouri High School State Wrestling Championships all four years. At Mizzou,
he has taken third place at both the Lindenwood and Oklahoma opens.

Kooi Earn Volleyball Honors
Junior setter Lindsey
Hunter was selected to the AVCA All-American Second Team. She
led the Big 12 Conference and was fourth in the nation with an
average of 14.43 assists per game. Jessica Vander Kooi received
