MU scientists are studying the status of Missouri black bears, which have been considered almost extinct since the late 19th century. Their work caught the interest of The Washington Times, Associated Press and television stations in Kansas City and St. Louis. Read more

Researchers Unlock Answers
to Alzheimer’s Disease

Two MU professors have identified new mechanisms that could have a major impact on the development of treatments for the disease. They recently received a $6 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to continue their study. Their work was covered by such media outlets as the San Francisco Examiner and the Associated Press. Read more

Mizzou Students Beat National Average
in Finding Employment

According to the latest studies, MU graduates are ahead of the national job placement average, with 85 percent of graduating students finding jobs. In addition, 68 percent of MU's graduating students found jobs in Missouri. Read more
