Unique Gifts Benefit Agriculture
In the span of seven days, the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources received two gifts totaling $10.6 million. Professor Elected to American
Academy of Arts and Sciences
Lin Randall, Wurdack Chair in Biochemical Sciences, becomes only the second MU faculty member ever elected to the Academy and the first from the MU College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources. Read more

McCubbin Appointed Interim
Director of Alumni Organization

Todd McCubbin, M Ed ’95, was recently named the interim executive director of the MU Alumni Association. He fills the shoes of Todd Coleman, who has left to accept a position at Purdue University. Read more

Association Honors 2004 Geyer Award Recipients
Dudley McCarter, JD ’75, and state senator John Russell were recently recognized by the Alumni Association for their efforts on behalf of Missouri higher education. Read more

Learning From Mr. Wright
At MU, Mykael Wright, BA ’03, was a popular guy. He served as the first black president of the Missouri Students Association and was Homecoming king. Now, as a teacher of seventh- and eighth-graders, he’s popular again. Read more

MU and the National Collegiate Athletic Association have taken the next step in their ongoing, joint inquiry into the MU men’s basketball program. Read more

New Wheelchair Basketball Head Coach Appointed
Steve Paxton was recently named the first head coach of the inaugural Tiger wheelchair basketball team, which operates through MU Recreation Services and Facilities. Recruiting is under way for the club team, which will open play next fall. Read more

Football Publication Named Best in Country
While the 2003 Football Tigers experienced success on the field, the sport’s media guide took home a national championship in a recent awards competition. Read more

Softball Enters NCAA Tournament Play
For the second straight year, the Tiger softball team has advanced to the NCAA tournament. They opened play against Louisville. Read more

Askren Takes FILA Junior
World Team Wrestling Title

Three Missouri wrestlers finished among the top five of their respective weight classes in the Federation Internationale des Luttes Associees (FILA) Junior World Team Trials in Lincoln, Neb. Redshirt freshman Ben Askren took first place in his weight class. Read more
