Restore the Roar
After the four-campus University
of Missouri System was created in 1963, the name of the University
of Missouri in Columbia was officially changed to the University
of Missouri-Columbia. Now supporters are working to restore MU's
original name to better reflect its mission and status as the

The next time you have difficulty
fighting an infection, a trip to the doctor might be to the family
veterinarian. An MU study is investigating whether pets could
be reservoirs for multi-resistant bacterial infections in humans.

John Gilbert, a 20-year-old junior,
recently returned from the Parapan American Games in Brazil sporting
a gold medal and the status of a world-class athlete. He was the
second-youngest member of the U.S. men’s wheelchair basketball
