Missouri junior setter Lindsey
Hunter has been selected to the AVCA All-America Second Team.
Hunter is just the second All-American in Mizzou Volleyball history,
joining Christi
Myers who was a third team selection in 2002.
Hunter led the Big 12 Conference and was fourth in the nation with a 14.43 assists per game average, which set a new MU school record. The old record was 14.08 assists per game which Hunter had in 2002 as a freshman.
She had 14 matches with at least 50 assists and has at least 60 assists seven times, including both of the Tigers' NCAA Tournament matches.
Hunter is second at Mizzou with 4,589 career assists and her 13.54 assists per game average for her career is the best all-time at MU, well ahead of second place (11.94).
Earlier this year, Hunter was named to the All-Central Region First Team for the second-straight year after earning All-Region Honorable Mention in 2002. She was also selected to the All-Big 12 Conference Team this year for the third time and was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Conference Second Team.

Vander Kooi received All-Region Honorable Mention. Vander
Kooi, who also was named to the All-Big 12 First Team last month,
was the Central Region Freshman of the Year last season. She
finished second on the team in both kills per game (3.84) and
digs per game (3.11) and led the Tigers with 19 double-doubles
on the season.
