Track Athletes Earn Academic Honors
The University of Missouri track and field
team success in the classroom continues as 37 Tiger athletes
have been named to the Academic All-Big 12 teams. Missouri is
tied with Texas A&M for the most athletes on the teams.
The Tigers have 33 on the first team and four on the second
team. Twenty-one members of the Missouri team were named to
the women’s All-Big 12 team and 16 to the men’s
squad.
Ten Missouri Tigers named to the All-Big 12 teams received 4.0
GPAs: Ann Snider, Jenny Bybee, Erin Hagan, Alicia Papa, Margaret
Ibe, Serena Ramsey, Lesley Smith, Tim McFarlin, Ryan Hampton,
and Rem Moll.
Academic All-Big 12 first-team honorees consist of those who
have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA, while the second team
is made up of those who have a 3.0 to 3.19 GPA. To qualify,
student-athletes must maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA, either cumulative
or the two previous semesters, and must have participated in
60 percent of their scheduled contests.

apparel management from Hermann, Mo.
- Kim Moore, a senior in social work from
Ballwin, Mo.
- Amy Semith, a senior in communication
from Glen Carbon, Ill.
- Jennifer Bennett, Missouri Jr. Psychology/Art
Ashland, Mo.
- Erin Hagan, a junior in nutritional sciences
from Mexico, Mo.
- Alicia Papa, a junior in physical therapy
from Decatur, Ill.
