Earns All-Big 12 Honors
Mizzou sophomore right-hander Max
Scherzer was named the Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Year
May 25. Scherzer is the first Tiger to be named Pitcher of the
Year in the Big 12 Conference. He is 8-3 on the season and leads
the Big 12 in both ERA (1.54) and strikeouts (120).
Seven other Tigers also earned All-Big 12
recognition. Junior James
Boone was also named to the All-Big 12 First Team. This is
the second All-Big 12 honor for Boone and the first time he has
earned first team honors.
Junior Taylor
Parker and sophomores Nathan
Culp and Hunter
Mense were named to the All-Big 12 Conference Second Team.
Juniors Zane
Taylor and Andrew
Johnston and freshman Jacob
Priday were named as All-Big 12 Honorable Mention selections.
Eight members of the team were named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team, the most Academic All-Conference selections for the Tigers in school history.
Juniors James Boon and Travis

Caballero and sophomores Max Scherzer and Nathan Culp were
named to the first team, while junior Trevor Helms and sophomores

McKee and Hunter Mense were second team selections.
